  • Wild Card program opens AAS to more Asian countries

    Kidscreen will once again be running a Wild Card program to give more animation producers a chance to get into the Asian Animation Summit showcase and present their projects live at the event. We’re currently accepting project submissions from producers operating anywhere in Asia Pacific other than Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Thailand and China, which are covered by our screen agency partners.

    Check out our Wild Card Eligibility Criteria and detailed instructions for preparing project submission packages. You can send them to Kidscreen Publisher Jocelyn Christie (jchristie@brunico.com) until Friday, September 7.

    Once this window closes, Kidscreen’s esteemed editorial team will review all of the project submissions received, selecting as many as four to be included in the Asian Animation Summit showcase and presented live at the event.

  • All-Asian co-pro partnership forms around Chi Chi

    Toonz Media (India), Neon Creation (Korea) and Backbone Entertainment (Malaysia) will co-produce upper-preschool CGI series Chi-Chi: The Apprentice Sorceress, which was first showcased at AAS 2013 in Thailand. Read full story.
